We’re about five minutes walk from Goring & Streatley Train Station. Or you can park in the car park behind the Catherine Wheel – a footpath connects to the High Street. There is some parking along Thames Road and immediately outside the Hall.
In the unlikely event that you’re coming by boat(!), there is free 24 hour mooring by the lock, a short stagger from the Village Hall.
In the even more unlikely event that you’re coming by helicopter, Autogyro or Dirigible, there is a field by The Swan across the river that is sometimes not too muddy. Please mind the cows/horses/sheep and/or lost tourists.
For those of you with Satellite Navigation (use your eyes as well, the tail of the weir can induce a sinking feeling), or wishing to post yourselves in a plain brown envelope to the event, the address is Goring Village Hall, High Street, Goring on Thames, South Oxfordshire RG8 9AG
Food & drink
If you want to grab a bite to eat before Unplugged, the Catherine Wheel and the John Barleycorn both do excellent, reasonably priced food and even more excellent Brakspears beer. There is also a great Indian Restaurant, Masooms, on the High Street, and the excellent Pierrepoints posh café by the bridge, and fine dining at The Miller of Mansfield also on the High Street. There is an Off-Licence selling West Berkshire Brewery’s range of bottled beer (amongst some other things like wine and ciggies and stuff) just up the High Street.
Cash
There is a hole in the wall which dispenses money opposite the Hairdressers that for anyone who mistakenly thought that the Unplugged Bouncer would accept a Debit Card to get in. The hole in the wall has recently been replaced by a Cash Machine.
